The Maurerbach is a glacier creek and a left tributary of the Isel in the Venediger group of the Hohe Tauern in East Tyrol .

It rises from the Maurerkees at around 2720  m above sea level. A. and then flows south through the Maurertal . He takes the Simonybach from the Simonykees and the Malhambach from the northern and southern Malhamkees from the right. At Ströden in Virgental , it joins the Isel after around 9.5 km from the left .

The catchment area of the Maurerbach is 31.7 km², of which 8.99 km² (28%) are glaciated (as of 1988). The highest point in the catchment area is the western Simonyspitze at 3473  m above sea level. A.

The Maurerbach is largely left in its natural state and, apart from the lowest section, has a very good ecological condition.
