Maurice sums
Maurice Summen (born February 19, 1974 in Stadtlohn ) is a German musician, music publisher, freelance A&R , author and journalist.
Life & work
Summen is the singer of the rock group Die Doors and runs the Staatsakt label . He lives in Berlin.
From May 2017 to December 2018 he moderated the radio program “Die Sendung” on Radio Eins alongside Bela B , Flake and Francoise Cactus . On July 28, 2017, the first single from the solo album “Bmerica” was released under the name Maurice & Die Familie Summen with “Zeit Zurück” . As a guest, Kryptik Joe raps from the Deichkind group , for whom Summen occasionally works as a songwriter. He also publishes regularly in newspapers, magazines and online portals such as Musikexpress , Jungle World , Spiegel Online or TAZ . Along with Ramin Bijan of The Doors and John von Weizsacker of The Chap he plays since 2016 in the Kinderpoppunk band baked beans , the "Have beans on the ears ?!" in March 2019 her debut album at the traditional label Europe publish. With Gereon Klug , Timur "Mosh" Çirak and Christian Dabeler he makes music, writes and publishes as the group OIL.
