Life
Origin and family
Mauritz Dietrich Anton Droste zu Senden grew up as the son of Jobst Adolf Droste zu Senden and his wife Dorothea Elisabeth von Nagel zu Vornholz (1654–1705, daughter of General Dietrich Hermann von Nagel ) together with his siblings Johann Ferdinand (heir), Johann Karl , Levin Christoph (Canon in Hildesheim), Anna Katharina (Canon in Asbeck ), Petronella and Isabella (Dechantin in Nottuln ) in the ancient Westphalian noble family Droste .
Career and work
After a biennium in Rome, Mauritz Dietrich received a cathedral preacher in Münster in 1703 by papal approval . On July 25, 1706 he was ordained a subdeacon and had thus reached the first stage of the sacrament of ordination . In 1708 Mauritz Dietrich received another prebend in Paderborn from the Turnar .
