Maurizio Claudio Bravi

Maurizio Claudio Bravi (born July 20, 1962 in Capriate San Gervasio ) is an Italian clergyman and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

On June 21, 1986, Maurizio Claudio Bravi was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Bergamo . He completed his theological studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome , where he obtained a licentiate in canon law . In 1991 he began his preparation for the diplomatic service of the Pontifical Diplomatic Academy . In 1995 he joined the diplomatic service of the Vatican again as Secretary of the Apostolic Nuncio in the Dominican Republic (1995–1998), Argentina (1998–2000), France (2006–2011) and Canada (2011–2016).

On February 27, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him permanent observer of the Holy See at the World Tourism Organization in Madrid to succeed Archbishop Renzo Fratini .
