Maury Lobina (* the thirtieth October 1973 in Asti as Maurizio Lobina ) is an Italian record producer , composer and DJ . In 1998 he composed and produced the song Blue (Da Ba Dee) for his band Eiffel 65 , which in 1999 was one of the best-selling singles of the year worldwide.

Life

Maurizio Lobina grew up in Asti and began taking classical piano lessons at the age of five. In 1992 Lobina joined the music label Blisscorporation in Turin and worked there as a music producer. In 1998 he founded the dance project Eiffel 65 together with his work colleagues Jeffrey Jey and Gabry Ponte . A year later, Blue (Da Ba Dee), composed by Lobina and Jeffrey Jey, made the international breakthrough of the band, of which he was a member until 2006. In 2004 he left Blisscorporation to open his own music studio. From 2006 to 2010 Lobina formed the band Bloom 06 with Jey before Eiffel 65 reunited in 2010.

In the summer of 2013 and 2014, Lobina appeared as a DJ in the opening act for Vasco Rossi . In 2014 he released his debut single Take Me Back with Stefano Pain .
