Maurizio Vezzali

Maurizio Vezzali (born November 11, 1961 in Brixen ) is a South Tyrolean politician of the Popolo della Libertà .

biography

In 1988 Vezzali was able to successfully complete his law studies at the University of Bologna . In the following years he worked as an honorary deputy public prosecutor at the district court of Bolzano, as a law teacher at several secondary schools and as an honorary deputy public prosecutor at the district court of Bressanone. Vezzali is a licensed attorney with offices in Bolzano and Bressanone.

His political engagement began with the Forza Italia party , whose vice-coordinator for South Tyrol he was from 2005 to 2008. In the state elections in 2008 he achieved fourth place after preferential votes by the Popolo della Libertà and, after the resignation of the Chamber Deputy Michaela Biancofiore , he was able to move into the state parliament and thus at the same time the regional council. Following the resignation of Mauro Minniti , he took over the office of President of the State Parliament on January 15, 2013. In the state elections of the same year he entered the list of the L'Alto Adige nel cuore party founded by Alessandro Urzì , but missed re-election with 891 preferential votes as the second elected.

Vezzali is married and has two daughters.
