history
The Max Eyth School is the successor school to the former job school, the central commercial vocational school in Stuttgart. The job school had grown into a school with over 4,000 students in the 1950s, after which it was decided in 1960 to make two independent schools out of it. In 1962, the Max-Eyth-Schule moved into the new building at Fritz-Elsas-Straße 29 with its mechanical engineering trades. From 2014 to the end of the 2018/2019 school year, the main building (A building), workshops and auditorium (C building) were extensively renovated.

In accordance with the school profile, the focus is on technical professions, including technical product designer , industrial mechanic or cutting machine operator .
In the 2002/03 school year, however, specialist classes were also set up for the training occupation of specialists for protection and security . This makes the Max Eyth School, the only school in Baden-Württemberg where trainees in this profession are taught.
