Max Brunner (born September 16, 1893 in Zurich , † January 15, 1962 in Vira (Gambarogno) , reformed , initially entitled to residency in Mogelsberg , since 1912 in Zurich) was a Swiss politician (FDP) .

biography

Brunner was born on September 16, 1893 in Zurich as the son of the mechanic Karl Brunner and Susanna Margaretha née Altherr. He began studying law at the University of Zurich , which he completed in 1919 with the academic degree of Dr. iur. completed. Subsequently, between 1923 and 1959, he was employed as the first secretary of the Zurich Homeowners Association.

In 1919 Brunner married Elisabeth Maria, the daughter of Johann Heinrich Biber. He died on January 15, 1962, four months after turning 68 in Vira (Gambarogno).

Political activity

As a member of the Liberal Party, Max Brunner held the office of a Cantonal Council in Zurich from 1932 to 1955 . In addition, he was a member of the National Council at federal level from 1947 to 1951 . He was also represented on the board of directors of Zürcher Kantonalbank .

Max Brunner was committed to organizing and representing the interests of property owners on various levels. Over a period of almost four decades, he played a major role in strengthening the position of the homeowners association.
