Max Buchsbaum , also Moshe Buchsbaum (born June 1, 1918 in Berlin ; † October 23, 1992 ibid), was a German actor on the stage, film and television.

Live and act

Max Buchsbaum received his acting training from Ilka Grüning in his native Berlin before he left the Third Reich and emigrated to Prague, where he made his theater debut in 1935. A little later the Jew emigrated to what was then the British Mandate of Palestine . He did not return to Germany from Israel until 1957 and continued his acting career as a guest at various stages (such as the theater in the congress hall) in Berlin. Later, Buchsbaum became a permanent member of the ensemble of Boleslaw Barlog's Schillertheater.

In 1959, Buchsbaum first appeared in front of the camera and was involved in both German television productions and in feature films (which were initially made in Germany and were mainly American). In front of the camera, boxwood covered the entire range of larger batches: he played servants and directors, pensioners and registrars, landlords and judges, teachers and representatives.

Max Buchsbaum died in Berlin in 1992 at the age of 74. His grave is in the Jewish cemetery in Heerstrasse in Berlin-Westend .
