Max Holzmann

Max Holzmann (born March 31, 1899 in Zurich ; † January 27, 1994 there , reformed , resident in Zurich) was a Swiss cardiologist .

Life

Max Holzmann was born on March 31, 1899 in Zurich as the son of the doctor Moritz Holzmann and Anna Helena, born Lerch. Max Holzmann began studying medicine in Zurich and Lausanne , which he completed in 1923 with the academic degree of Dr. med. completed. Holzmann then worked as an assistant doctor in Vienna , Paris and at the University Clinic in Zurich. From 1932 he was the clinic's consultant alongside the management of a private cardiology practice .

In addition, Holzmann taught between 1959 and 1969 as a private lecturer and adjunct professor at the University of Zurich. He also served in 1948 as co-founder of the Swiss Society of Cardiology, which he from 1952 to 1955 as President board.

Max Holzmann married Elisa, daughter of Emil Rüegg, from Zurich in 1931. He died on January 27, 1994, two months before he would have turned 95 in Zurich.

Act

Max Holzmann has published more than a hundred papers on radiology and electrocardiography . Above all, Holzmann earned merits in promoting the method of electrocardiography.
