Max Kaltenmoser
Max Kaltenmoser (born December 1, 1842 in Munich ; † April 4, 1887 there ) was a German genre painter.
Max Kaltenmoser was a son of the painter Kaspar Kaltenmoser (1806–1867), older brother of the painters Albert Kaltenmoser (1844–1871) and Karl Kaltenmoser (1853–1923). From May 1, 1858, he studied in the class of antiquities at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Philipp Foltz and Arthur von Ramberg .
From 1866 Max Kaltenmoser took part in art exhibitions with his genre paintings. Because of an illness, Max spent the winter of 1869 to 1870 on the Riviera. Despite the poor health, he took numerous pictures. Max Kaltenmoser died in 1887 at the age of 45. The next year an exhibition dedicated to him was set up at the Munich Art Association .
