Max Landau

Max Landau (born October 19, 1886 in Brody in Galicia, † April 30, 1915 in Vienna ) was an Austrian anatomist.

Life

Landau, who came from an old rabbi family, studied medicine at the universities of Vienna , Strasbourg and Munich and received his doctorate in 1909. From 1910 to 1912 he was a prosector at the Anatomical Institute in Frankfurt and then assistant at the Institute for Anatomical Pathology at the University of Freiburg .

After the outbreak of World War I , he returned to Vienna and became a prosector in a garrison hospital.

Landau he devoted himself above all to diseases of the adrenal glands .
