Max saver
Max Sparer (born July 6, 1886 in Tramin , † January 29, 1968 in Montiggl , Eppan ) was a South Tyrolean painter and graphic artist. In his works he mainly depicted Tyrolean landscapes and the farmers at work.
Career
After his training in the teacher training institute and the grammar school in Bolzano , he attended some art courses. In 1926 he was represented with his works for the first time at the Third Art Biennial of the Tridentine Veneto in Bolzano, as well as in 1938 and 1940 at the fascist syndicate exhibitions in Bolzano. In 1939 he designed the title page of a calendar intended for the Bolzano army command with the motif of the victory memorial . At the age of 45 he retired to the Schlössl on the Großer Montiggler See , where he died impoverished in 1968.
