Max Wiskemann
Max Hugo Ernst Wiskemann (born January 20, 1887 in Mulhouse , Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine , † May 30, 1971 in Hamburg) was a German manager of the asbestos and rubber industry.
Life
Wiskemann's father of the same name (1851-1937) was a doctor in Illzach , Bari and Mülhausen.
After graduating from high school in Mulhouse , Max Wiskemann studied law at the Eberhard Karls University from 1905 . In 1906 he was reciprocated in his father's corps Borussia Tübingen . As an inactive , he moved to the University of Leipzig and the Kaiser-Wilhelms-University of Strasbourg . In 1910 he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD. The clerkship he graduated in Alsace-Lorraine. The focus of her studies and traineeship was civil, commercial and administrative law. After he had passed the great state examination in Strasbourg in 1913, he joined the internal administration of the Reich as a government assessor. In 1916 he was appointed government official.
From the beginning of 1914 until the outbreak of the First World War, in which he took part, he was on leave from the civil service and as a lawyer at Asbest- und Gummiwerke Alfred Calmon AG in Hamburg. After the end of the war he resigned from civil service and joined the Calmon factory permanently. In October 1926 he was appointed to the management board when the company's founder Alfred Calmon moved from the management board to the company's supervisory board. In 1931 the majority of the shares were taken over by the Swedish Helsingborgs Gummifabriks AB . In 1933 the company was renamed Tretorn and Calmon Gummiwerke AG and in 1938 as Tretorn Gummi- und Asbestwerke AG . Wiskemann was also a board member of these companies. As a board member, he was a member of various professional organizations.
