Max Zeuske

Max Zeuske (born December 26, 1927 in Berlin , † October 18, 2001 in Oranienburg ) was a German historian .

Life

From 1942 to 1944 he attended the teacher training college in Köthen . From 1948 to 1951 he completed a degree in pedagogy (history and didactics) at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg . From 1953 to 1957 he was a consultant, later main consultant at the Ministry for Higher and Technical Education in Berlin. From 1956 to 1961 he completed a history course (distance learning) at the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 1957 to 1960 he was a lecturer at the workers and farmers faculty in Jena . From 1960 to 1967 he was a research assistant at the University of Leipzig . He was a consultant (1963–1964, 1966) in setting up the Labor and Farmers Faculty in Havana and visiting professor at the University of Havana. From 1968 to 1970 he was head of department in the Ministry for Higher and Technical Schools of the GDR in Berlin. From 1970 to 1979 he was an assistant (from 1972 university lecturer) at the University of Leipzig . From 1979 to 1992 he was a university lecturer (from 1980 full professor ) at the Latin American Studies section in Rostock .

Michael Zeuske , the son of Max Zeuske, has also concentrated as a historian on the history of Latin America.
