Maxim Andrejewitsch Ignatowitsch ( Russian Максим Андреевич Игнатович ; born April 7, 1991 in Novosibirsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Amur Khabarovsk in the Continental Hockey League since October 2019 .

Career

Maxim Ignatowitsch began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Sibir Novosibirsk , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Continental Hockey League in the 2009/10 season . In his rookie year , the defender remained free of points and penalties in eight games. In the following season , the junior national player was in the KHL squad of the HK Sibir, but completed only one other KHL game in the first half of the season. As in the previous year, he played instead mainly for Sibir's junior team in the multinational youth league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga . Within the MHL, he moved towards the end of the season to Stalnyje Lissy Magnitogorsk.

At the beginning of the 2011/12 season Ignatowitsch was used in the Wysschaja Liga participant Kristall Saratow , but returned to the Sibir squad during the season.

International

For Russia Ignatovich took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2011 , where he won the gold medal with his team. He contributed to winning the title with one assist in seven games.
