Michal Jordán (born July 17, 1990 in Zlín , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech ice hockey player who has been under contract with Amur Khabarovsk from the Continental Hockey League since May 2017 .
Career
Michal Jordán began his career in the junior teams of HC Hamé Zlín before moving to North America in the OHL for the Windsor Spitfires in the summer of 2007 . In the middle of the following season he moved within the league to the Plymouth Whalers. During the NHL Entry Draft 2008 he was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes from the NHL in the fourth round in a total of 105th place.
In April 2010 he received an entry level contract with the Hurricanes and has since been mainly used with the Charlotte Checkers in the American Hockey League . After the 2015/16 season, his contract was not extended. In October 2016 he was finally signed by Ak Bars Kazan from the Continental Hockey League .
International
Michal Jordán has participated in three international title fights in his career to date: For the U18 and U20 national team , he took part in the U18 World Cup in 2007 and 2008 . In the same year, as a 17-year-old, he was also used in the U20 World Cup.
He also took on senior level at the World Championships in 2014 , 2015 and 2016 and at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey in part.
