Maximilian Bauer (born February 23, 1995 in Dachau ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 .
Career
Until he was 16, Bauer played for TuS Geretsried , a multi-discipline club in the town of the same name in the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen , before moving to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich . After playing for one season for the B- and half a year for the A-youth team, he was signed by SpVgg Unterhaching during the winter break of the 2012/13 season.
From September to November of the 2014/15 season he played for the second team in the fifth-class Bayernliga in 12 league games and scored on his debut on September 6, 2014 (12th matchday) in the 2: 4 defeat in the away game against the TSV 1896 Rain scored his first goal in the senior division with the goal to make it 2-2 in the 60th minute. In that game he was sent off with a yellow-red card twenty minutes later . In the second half of the 2014/15 season he played three point games in the fourth-class Bavarian regional league for SV Heimstetten on loan.
After returning to SpVgg Unterhaching, he played 48 point games in the Regionalliga Bayern and contributed 25 point games and one goal to the championship in the 2016/17 season and was also used in the two promotion games to the 3rd division . He made his professional football debut on July 22, 2017 (1st matchday) in a 3-0 defeat in the away game against Werder Bremen's second team - until he was substituted for Alexander Piller in the 72nd minute. After playing his last league game on matchday 36 of the third division season 2018/19 , the defender took part in a test match of league rivals SV Meppen during the international break in November 2019 , but was not signed by them.
In the following season , the defender was only used once in the Bavarian State Cup and at the end of January 2020 he joined the regional league team 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 . There he signed a contract valid until June 2021 and is supposed to replace the injured Ronny Philp .
