Ronny Philp (born January 28, 1989 in Hermannstadt , Romania ) is a German football player .

Career

One year after his birth, Philp's parents emigrated with him from Sibiu in Transylvania to Germany and came to Fürth . At the age of nine he attended a training course at the TSV Burgfarrnbach district club and began his club career. In 2002 he moved from the TSV youth team to SpVgg Greuther Fürth . There he went through all other youth teams and played 23 games (3 goals) in the A-youth in the U-19 Bundesliga in the 2007/08 season . In 2008 he was transferred to the second team of Fürth in the Regionalliga Süd . While he had played as a striker in his youth, he was only used in midfield in the U-23 and was finally a regular in the defense in his third year.

For the 2011/12 season he moved together with Jim-Patrick Müller to the 3rd division for SSV Jahn Regensburg . There he immediately became a regular player in the right-back position with good performances. In the season finale, of all places, he suffered a ligament injury in the penultimate game of the season and so missed both the last encounter, in which third place in the league was secured, as well as the two relegation games against Karlsruher SC , which promoted promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga meant.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to Bundesliga club FC Augsburg , with whom he signed a contract valid until 2015. On January 20, 2013 (18th matchday), he made his debut in the Bundesliga, when his club won 3-2 against Fortuna Düsseldorf . For the second half of the 2014/15 season he was awarded to the 2nd Bundesliga to his former youth club SpVgg Greuther Fürth .

In August 2015 Philp was signed by 1. FC Heidenheim . He signed a contract with the second division until June 30, 2019. On August 14, 2015, he was on the starting line-up for the home game against Fortuna Düsseldorf .

For the 2018/19 season , Philp signed a three-year contract with the Bavarian regional league team 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 .
