Live and act

Maximilian Kerner was born in Gunzenhausen, Franconia in 1949 . In 1966, at the age of 17, he moved to Nuremberg and worked there as a bookseller. He was already performing in the sixties and shifting his activities more and more to strongly dialect- colored Franconian texts. Since around 1995 he has performed mostly as "Kerner's Kombo" with the musicians Miller the Killer (piano), Dieter Schreiber (bass) and Anselm Gayler (drums), who are known in Nuremberg. In this formation, "Kerner's Kombo" took part in the 1999 Nuremberg Bardentreffen . With the song Iiech bin a Glubberer he set a monument to his favorite football club , 1. FC Nürnberg , and himself in 1995. The Nürnberger Abendzeitung wrote about him: What the people of Cologne have their Niedecken and the Viennese their Ambros, that could finally be Maximilian Kerner for the people of Nuremberg. Together with Günter Stössel , he translated the Wilhelm Busch classic Max and Moritz into Franconia in 2001 .

Maximilian Kerner died of a heart attack in 2005 at the age of 56 .
