Max Zierl

Maximilian "Max" Zierl (born March 13, 1934 in Cham ) is a senior director of studies. D. and politicians of the Bavarian Party (BP).

Zierl was chairman of the Bavarian Party from 1979 to 1989. After the BP achieved its worst result in the 1978 state elections with 0.4%, it was able to consolidate under Zierl's chairmanship, without being able to build on its successes in the 1950s and 1960s. During Zierl's term of office, the reunification of BP with its spin-off CBV also took place

From 1988 to 2007 Zierl was chairman of the party committee of the BP, since then he has been deputy chairman of the small party congress. He is honorary chairman of the Bavarian Party.
