Jakob Fischbacher (born May 28, 1886 in Babensham near Wasserburg am Inn , † February 16, 1972 in Rosenheim ) was a German politician of the Bavarian Party .

Pre-war period

After attending high schools in Rosenheim and Freising , Fischbacher studied law and political science as well as history and philosophy from 1908 to 1913. Then he was director of the "Upper Bavarian Christian Farmers' Association" until he was removed from his office in 1934 for political reasons.

After 1945

From 1945 to 1948 Fischbacher was District Director Upper Bavaria of the Bavarian Farmers' Association . In 1947 he was a co-founder of the Bavarian Party, of which he was the Upper Bavarian district chairman. Within the BP he belonged to the group of politicians who were fundamentally critical of the CSU around Joseph Baumgartner , Ludwig Lallinger , Ludwig Volkholz and Ernst Falkner .

In April 1947 he triggered the Fischbacher affair when he agitated against German refugees from Central and Eastern Europe and Prussia.

“When a farmer's son marries a north German blonde, it is incest in my eyes. The Prussians, this stuff, and the refugees have to be thrown out, and the peasants have to help out. It is best to send the Prussians straight to Siberia. "
