Route description

The route begins formally in the Cölln district where the Elbe Cycle Path joins the Meissner train station on the right . From there you drive over the railway bridge to the old town and the Triebisch valley, a little further away . From here there is no alternative to continuing to Semmelsberg ; you have to use state road 83 . But from then on you cycle on very well-developed and signposted cycle paths, partly on the railway line of the former narrow-gauge railway Wilsdruff-Gärtitz . From now on it goes steadily uphill with slight inclines to Taubenheim . From there the bike path leads downhill on the little-traveled local road and then turns left on a paved dirt road to Sora . Here it crosses State Road 177 and continues to Klipphausen .

From there the cycle path leads through the Saubach Valley past some mills such as the well-known Neudeckmühle to Kleinschönberg , with another incline to be overcome from the Neudeckmühle to Kleinschönberg . From there it goes down to the Elbe and the cycle path of the same name on roads with little traffic, whereby at Constappel the federal road 6 has to be crossed. On the left-hand part of the Elbe Cycle Path, it goes back through Gauernitz to Meißen.
