Location of the Wildberg district in Klipphausen

Wildberg is a district of the village of Gauernitz in the municipality of Klipphausen in the district of Meißen , Saxony .

geography

Wildberg is located between Meißen and Dresden in the Elbe valley . On the other side of the Elbe are the Coswig district of Kötitz to the north and the Radebeul district of Naundorf to the east . The federal highway 6 runs through Wildberg, which connects it with the neighboring towns of Niederwartha , which already belongs to Dresden, in the south-east and Constappel in the west. The closest places to the south are Weistropp and Kleinschönberg , both of which are part of the Klipphausen village .

history

Wildberg was first mentioned in a document in 1227 as part of the name of "Adela de Wiltberch". The place name then developed through the stations "Wilperg" (1441), "Weltpergk" (1538) and "Wilprigk" (1661) to the current form, whereby in 1875 a distinction was made between "Vorderwildberg" and "Hinterwildberg". The village was administered by the Dresden office , and in the 19th century by the Meissen administration . The lords of the local manor exercised the manorial rule . In the 15th century, two outbuildings are mentioned in the village. In 1900 the loose Rundling had a 214 hectare block corridor . Most of the time the place was parish to Weistropp, Niederwildberg temporarily also to Constappel. Wildberg remained independent until 1950, when it was incorporated into Gauernitz on July 1st . With Gauernitz, which like Scharfenberg has the status of a town , Wildberg came to the municipality of Klipphausen on January 1st, 1999 . Since the neighboring Niederwartha was incorporated into Dresden as part of the town of Cossebaude in the same year , Wildberg has since bordered directly on the state capital. Among other things, Gut Wildberg , now used as a country hotel, has been preserved in the village . In addition, other buildings in the village are protected as cultural monuments (see list of cultural monuments in Wildberg ).
