Pinkowitz is a district of the village of Gauernitz in the municipality of Klipphausen in the district of Meißen , Saxony .

geography

Pinkowitz is located between Meißen and Dresden in the Meißner highlands . It is located on the elongated plateau between the left Elbe valleys Regenbachtal and Eichhörnchengrund. The village essentially consists of a four-sided and a three-sided courtyard . Neighboring places are Gauernitz in the north, Constappel in the east and Hartha in the south. Neighboring to the south-west is Röhrsdorf , which belongs to the village of Klipphausen, and neighboring to the north-west is Pegenau , village of Scharfenberg .

Pinkowitz was first mentioned in a document in 1350 as "Penkuwicz". The place name changed gradually over the stations "Pynncwicz" (1477), "Benckewitz" (1527) and "Winkewicz" (1539) to the current form. The village was administered by the Meissen Hereditary Authority . The manorial rule was exercised by the lords of the Gauernitz manor . The Rundling decreed in 1900 on a 119-hectare block and strip corridor . It was and is parish after Constappel. On April 1, 1937, it was incorporated into Gauernitz. As part of this earlier municipality, which like Scharfenberg has the status of a locality , Pinkowitz came to the municipality of Klipphausen on January 1, 1999 . There are three buildings in the village that are protected as cultural monuments (see list of cultural monuments in Pinkowitz ).
