Kobitzsch is a district of the municipality of Klipphausen in the district of Meißen , Saxony .

geography

Kobitzsch is located in the Meißner highlands between Wilsdruff , Nossen and Meißen . The hamlet , by far the smallest district of Klipphausen, is surrounded by the other districts belonging to the municipality Kettewitz in the west, Piskowitz in the southwest, Taubenheim in the south and Ullendorf in the southeast. To the east lies Riemsdorf and to the north is Polenz . The center of Kobitzsch is located on Riemsdorfer Weg on the hill between the valley of the Kleine Triebisch and the valley of the Kesselbach coming from Ullendorf. Two single arch bridges over the Kleine Triebisch near Kobitzsch are under monument protection (see list of cultural monuments in Taubenheim ). The Niedermühle (also Fritzschen or Rendlermühle) on the Kleine Triebisch, which has existed since at least 1726, also belongs to Kobitzsch; the Obermühle (also Langenmühle) was demolished in the GDR era. Both were still working in 1955.

history

The hamlet was first mentioned in 1334 as "Quabichs". Over the centuries, the place name changed via the stations "Quabs", "Qwabitcz", "Quabitsch", "Kowacz" and "Kowietz" to the current spelling, which is documented in 1551. A 76 hectare large block corridor extended around Kobitzsch, whose residents earned their income in agriculture . The manor was incumbent on the Meissen cathedral chapter, after the Reformation the Meissen monastery administered the hamlet. On the section of the Oberreitschen map from 1821 shown on the right, Kobitzsch consists of a single large estate, which is marked as " Stifts D. " (Stiftsdominium). From this land and buildings were allocated to seven new farmers during the land reform from 1945 . Four new farmhouses were built for them.

In 1856 Kobitzsch belonged to the Meißen court office and then joined the Meißen district administration , from which the district of the same name emerged. On the basis of the rural community code of 1838 , the hamlet gained independence as a rural community , but lost this independence on April 1, 1937 when it was incorporated into Ullendorf. As part of it, Kobitzsch came to Taubenheim in 1950, which in turn has been part of Triebischtal since 2004. Kobitzsch was and is also parish after Taubenheim. Since July 1, 2012 the place has been part of the municipality of Klipphausen.
