history

Naustadt was first mentioned in a document in 1312 as "Nuenstat", which means Neustadt . The village was administered by the Meissen Hereditary Authority . The lords of Scharfenberg Castle exercised the manorial rule . As early as 1500 there was a parish church in the village , and in 1723 there was evidence for the first time that an outworks was built . The court village decreed in 1900 on a 457-hectare block , Gelänge- and strip corridor . On July 1, 1950, it was incorporated into Scharfenberg , which since January 1, 1999 has formed the municipality of Klipphausen together with the localities of Klipphausen and Gauernitz . During the GDR era, a few 100 meters west of Naustadt was the location of a radio technology company of the NVA with a helicopter landing pad. The Saxony police now operate the central dog school for their service dogs on the site .
