Reppnitz is a village belonging to the district Scharfenberg in the municipality of Klipphausen in the district of Meißen , Saxony .
geography
Reppnitz is located southeast of Meißen in the Meißner Hochland , which slopes steeply into the Elbe valley one kilometer further northeast . The village is surrounded by Scharfenberg, the former Gruben , in the southeast, Naustadt in the south, Reichenbach in the west and Batzdorf in the northwest. Two kilometers northeast of Reppnitz, on the other side of the Elbe, is the Coswig district of Sörnewitz .
history
Reppnitz was first mentioned in a document on October 18, 1227 as "Repniz" in a Latin document from Meißner Bishop Bruno II , when he transferred the villages of Loschwitz and Reppnitz to the Meißner cathedral chapter . The village was administered by the Meissen Hereditary Authority . The lords of Scharfenberg Castle exercised the manorial rule . Around a since the Middle Ages existing Vorwerk formed around Gutssiedlung Reppnitz that their hall in the 18th century smallholding mines arose possessed in common with that in 1876 a total of 220 hectares Guts block corridor . In the 19th century Reppnitz became part of the rural community named after the now larger settlement of Gruben . This was renamed Scharfenberg in 1920 and has belonged to Klipphausen since January 1st, 1999.
