State Road 177
The State Road 177 (S 177) is a state road axes that after the completion of the planned expansion routes and bypasses as eastern bypass of Dresden between the Bundesautobahn 17 and the Bundesautobahn 4 is intended to serve.

The S 177 runs near Pirna from the B 172a ( motorway feeder from the A 17) over the Sachsenbrücke or the Elbe, past Graupa to Bonnewitz , then via Wünschendorf , Eschdorf , Rossendorf to Radeberg . In Rossendorf it crosses the B 6 .
Until 2008 it led through the urban area of Radeberg. The expansion and the associated relocation took place with the road construction project Staatsstrasse 177 bypass Großerkmannsdorf / bypass Radeberg , which was completed on December 5, 2008.
From Radeberg the S 177 continues via Feldschlößchen and Seifersdorf to the Ottendorf-Okrilla junction of the BAB 4 (No. 84). From Ottendorf-Okrilla it continues via Medingen to junction 21 of the BAB 13 , Radeburg , from there via Steinbach and Gröbern to Meißen . The section between Meißen and the Wilsdruff junction of federal motorway 4 was called F 177 in the GDR .

With the implementation of the entire project, a large-scale connection will be created between the BAB 17 near Pirna and the BAB 4 near Leppersdorf .

Expansion north of Pirna
The planning approval procedure for the 4.9 km long section north of Pirna between the junction with the S 167 and south of Wünschendorf was completed in spring 2012. The State Office for Road Construction and Transport has thus granted the building permit and started the public tender. According to a press release from the State Office of Saxony (Dresden), the route initially runs close to the existing S 177, then turns south of Bonnewitz to the east and bypasses Bonnewitz to the east. The approved new road ends south of Wünschendorf. The official groundbreaking for the Bonnewitz bypass took place on July 20, 2012.
The expansion of the existing route to the new exit south of Bonnewitz had already been completed; the entire section was completed and approved in December 2014.
Bypassing Wünschendorf, Eschdorf
The planning approval decision for the road section near Wünschendorf and Eschdorf was issued in January 2018. Wünschendorf in the west and Eschdorf in the north-east are to be bypassed. Preparatory measures could have started in autumn 2018, before the actual construction start would have taken place in 2019 at the earliest. A traffic release could not have been expected before 2022. In April 2018, the BUND filed a lawsuit against the planning - this made a start of construction in 2019 unrealistic. Archaeological investigations and excavations have been carried out since November 2019 and should have been completed in April 2020.
Rossendorf bypass, intersection B6
The road section is in the planning phase. A 300 meter wide corridor is currently defined. The route after the Eschdorf bypass is west of Rossendorf , crossing the B 6 and connecting to the Großerkmannsdorf / Radeberg bypass that has already been completed. This course was made
- Noise protection reasons (Rossendorf),
- Demand for private land with demolition of houses in the current intersection area with the B 6 and
- Nature conservation reasons (bypassing the source area of the Prießnitz in the Rossendorfer ponds ).
In June 2016, the application for the plan approval procedure was submitted to the regional directorate .
Großerkmannsdorf / Radeberg bypass
Construction of this bypass with a length of 6.4 km started on August 30, 2004. A first section between the junction with the S 159 (Großröhrsdorfer Strasse) and the junction with the S 95 (Stolpener Strasse) was released on September 6, 2007. The further section to the south of Großerkmannsdorf was released on December 5, 2008. The sub-project OU Großerkmannsdorf / Radeberg is thus completed.
Bridge over the Hüttertal
The total cost of the Großerkmannsdorf / Radeberg bypass of 40 million euros was financed 75 percent from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and 25 percent from the state budget of Saxony.
Leppersdorf bypass
North of Radeberg, the direct connection of the S 177 to the BAB 4 is under construction (2018). A bypass to the west with a modified motorway connection is being created. The planning approval procedure for this construction phase was initiated in 2011 and completed in 2016. Start of construction with construction work on the new Pulsnitz motorway feeder since September 2017. The expansion is also to take place in the 2 + 1 system - the continuation of State Road 95 remains two-lane.
Trunk road 177
The trunk road 177 (abbreviation: F 177 ) was a trunk road in the German Democratic Republic in the district of Dresden . After reunification, it was downgraded to the Saxon State Road 177.
