Prussian half-milestone near Lüttchendorf

The milestone to the west of Lüttchendorf is a small monument in the lake district of Mansfelder Land in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

In the vicinity of Lüttchendorf there are three relics of a Prussian state street on what is now Bundesstrasse 80 , namely the Chausseehaus and the quarter milestone east of the village and a half milestone west of the village. All three objects can be assigned to the year 1826, in which this section of the road from Berlin to Kassel was inspected and an acceptance report was made. In this one complains that the milestones from Langenbogen to this very point west of Lüttchendorf are still missing.

Here, opposite the Bruchmühle and next to the Froschmühlenstollen, there has been a Prussian half-milestone since then , bearing the typical inscription 1/2 mile . This was already missing at the end of the 1990s and was restored. It is a so-called big bell , a type that is common along the Chaussee between Langenbogen and Nordhausen , as can be found in Seeburg or Blankenheim , for example . In 2002 the milestone was placed under monument protection. In the register of monuments it has the registration number 094 15927.
