The widowed industrialist Alexander Engelmann has a 16-year-old, somewhat neglected daughter named Julia. Since he wants to have a mother for her, he decides to marry the actress Ilona Farkas, whom he met while on a plane trip. She is Julia's idol anyway.
Engelmann's servant Paul brings this offer to Ilona, who finally agrees to teach the arrogant man a lesson. Already at the wedding party she turns everything upside down, and on Julia's birthday she throws a big party. Engelmann reproaches her and Ilona leaves the house. Of course, the separation does not last, because both have now really fallen in love, and Julia has also found the man for life in the journalist Tommy.
