Meinhard Ade (born February 5, 1944 in Säckingen , Baden ) is a German administrative lawyer .
Life
Ade studied law , political science and economics in Freiburg , Vienna and Kiel and received his doctorate in 1976 with his dissertation Der Länderrat: On the appropriateness and admissibility of a national community at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg .
From 1973 to 1975 Ade was a member of the federal executive committee of the Junge Union and from 1973 to 1977 secretary of the policy and policy commission of the CDU . From 1977 he was office manager of the CDU general secretary Heiner Geißler .
From 1981 to 1984 Ade was Senate Spokesman and Head of the Press and Information Office in Berlin . In 1985, Federal President Richard von Weizsäcker brought him to the Office of the Federal President as Deputy Head and Head of the Domestic Policy Department with the rank of Ministerial Director . He remained in this position until Roman Herzog was elected (1994), from whom he received the golden handshake when he took office , although both are Christian Democrats .
He has been a partner in a law firm in Cologne since 1994 . Ade is married and has three children.
