Melanie Forgeron
Melanie Forgeron (* 1976 in Nuremberg ) is a German opera and lied singer ( mezzo-soprano ).
Career
Melanie Forgeron completed her violin studies before she began studying singing at the Hanover University of Music and Drama with Carol Richardson-Smith . In 2005 she graduated with a diploma.
In September 2005 she became a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater Aachen , where she a. a. as Charlotte in " Werther " by Jules Massenet , Idamante in " Idomeneo " by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Nikausse / Muse in " Hoffmanns Erzählungen " by Jacques Offenbach , Hansel in " Hansel and Gretel " by Engelbert Humperdinck and Olga in " Eugen Onegin " by Tchaikovsky made his debut. In 2009/10 she had a guest contract at the Dresden State Operetta parallel to Aachen . Here she sang Carmen in " Carmen " by Georges Bizet and Orlowski in " Die Fledermaus " by Johann Strauss . In 2010 she moved to the Bielefeld Theater , where she sang in productions such as u. a. " Xerxes ", " Don Giovanni ", " The Rape of Lucretia ", " Dido and Aeneas " and " Così fan tutte " are the main roles.
In summer 2015 she made her debut in Tokyo, where she sang excerpts as Kundry in " Parsifal " by Richard Wagner , Annina in " Der Rosenkavalier " and composer in " Ariadne auf Naxos " by Richard Strauss . Melanie Forgeron lives as a freelance singer in Zurich .
