Melissa De Sousa

Melissa De Sousa (born September 25, 1967 in New York City ) is an American actress .

Life

The ancestors of the actress come from Panama . De Sousa made his debut on an episode of the 1992 television program CBS Schoolbreak Special . Guest appearances in television series and a major role in the drama Spark (1996) followed. She also played a bigger role in the comedy Abgefahren (1998).

The role in the comedy The Best Man (1999) with Taye Diggs , Nia Long and Morris Chestnut earned De Sousa a nomination for an Image Award in 2000 . She played Miss New York in the comedy Miss Undercover (2000) with Sandra Bullock in the lead role . In 2003 she was nominated for the Black Reel Award for her role in the comedy 30 Years to Life (2001) . In the film drama Constellation (2005) she played one of the bigger roles alongside Rae Dawn Chong .
