Mence Dros-Canters
Margaretha Clementina "Mence" Dros-Canters (born March 5, 1900 in the Dutch East Indies , † August 14, 1934 in Velp ) was a Dutch badminton , tennis and hockey player .
Career
Mence Dros-Canters won all three possible titles in badminton in 1932 at the first edition of the Dutch championships. In tennis she won several national titles in women's doubles and in 1930 the mixed title with M. Koopman. As a hockey player, she wore the Dutch national jersey twelve times.
In 1931 she married the entrepreneur Adriaan Dros jr. (1887–1951) and moved to Leiden . In 1933 she became seriously ill and died at the age of 34 as a result of the illness on August 14, 1934.
