Meng Jianzhu ( Chinese  孟建柱 ; born July 28, 1947 in Suzhou , Jiangsu ) is a Chinese politician of the Communist Party of China (CCP), who was Minister of Public Security from 2007 to 2012 and a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party from 2012 to 2017 China .

Life

Studies and beginning of the career as an official

Meng Jianzhu, who belongs to the Han ethnic group , began studying at the Shanghai Institute for Machine Technology after attending school . After graduation, he began his professional career at the Qianwei agricultural company in 1968, where he was secretary of the Communist Youth Association of China (KJVC), deputy head of the boat fleet and deputy political commissioner of the supply marketing and transport station of this company until 1973 . He became a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 1971 and was secretary of the party committee of the company's transport collective from 1973 to 1976.
