Menonita Sommer Feld (also Menonita Sommer Felp ) is a scattered settlement in the Santa Cruz Department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Menonita summer field is the seventh largest town in the municipality of Cabezas in the Cordillera province . The village is located at an altitude of 332 m ten kilometers west of the Río Grande in a large-scale developed agricultural region south of Santa Cruz .
geography
Menonita summer field is located in the Bolivian lowlands between the alluvial plain of the Río Piraí in the west and the Río Grande in the east. The climate is semi-humid, the temperatures fluctuate only insignificantly during the day and during the year.
The annual average temperature is 24 to 25 ° C, with monthly average temperatures between almost 27 ° C in December and January and below 21 ° C in June and July (see climate diagram Pailón). The annual precipitation is around 950 mm, the dry season from July to September contrasts with a pronounced humidity period from November to February, in which the monthly values reach up to 140 mm.
Transport network
Menonita Summer Field is fifty kilometers by road southeast of Santa Cruz, the capital of the department of the same name.
From the center of the capital, drive eight kilometers south via Avenida Velarde and Avenida Santos Dumont and then turn south-east onto Avenida Nuevo Palmar, which leads past the northeast corner of the Lomas de Arena landscape protection area to the village of Olivera and again thirteen kilometers further in the same direction. An unpaved country road then leads east to Menonita Sommer Feld .

As its name suggests, the settlement is primarily inhabited by families of the Mennonite religious community , who have settled in Bolivia, especially in the Santa Cruz department.
