Olivera is a town in the Santa Cruz Department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Olivera is the second largest town in the canton of Peji in the municipality of La Guardia in the province of Andrés Ibáñez . The municipality lies at an altitude of 388  m in the wide alluvial plain created by the Río Piraí (30 km) in the west and the Río Grande (30 km) in the east. To the west at a distance of about six kilometers is the Lomas de Arena dune area, a shifting dunes and lake area designated by the IUCN as a landscape protection area.
