Meresanch IV was a queen of the ancient Egyptian 5th dynasty .

Origin and family

The descent of Meresanchs is unknown. Her husband cannot be determined with certainty either. Since, according to the architecture of her tomb, she must have lived at the end of the 5th Dynasty, both Menkauhor and Djedkare were considered. Merenre is more likely here, as her grave was built near the pyramid complex. Two princes named Kaemtjenent and Raemka , who were also buried nearby, could be sons of Menkauhor and Meresanch IV.

title

Meresanch had the following titles: Great Favorite , King Wife , With great esteem, Who looks at Horus and Seth , Servant of Thoth , Servant of Tjaisepef , Director of the butcher in the acacia house, Comrade of Horus , Friend of Horus, Companion of the lover of the two mistresses.
