Meron Mazur OSBM (also Myron Mazur ) (born February 5, 1962 in Prudentópolis , Brazil ) is a Ukrainian-Greek Catholic clergyman and bishop of the Imaculada Conceição eparchy in Prudentópolis .

Life

Meron Mazur was born in 1962 in the Ukrainian city of Prudentópolis in the southern Brazilian state of Paraná .

On January 1st, 1988 Mazur made his religious vows in the Order of the Basilians of St. Exit Josaphat . For priests Meron Mazur was born on September 8, 1990 consecrated .

On December 21, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the Auxiliary Bishop of the Ukrainian-Greek Catholic Eparchy of São João Batista em Curitiba and titular bishop of Chemtou . He was ordained bishop by the Grand Archbishop of Kiev-Halych , Cardinal Lubomyr Husar on February 26, 2006. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Philadelphia , Stephen Soroka , and the Bishop of São João Batista em Curitiba , Efraím Basílio Krevey OSBM .

Pope Francis appointed him on May 12, 2014 as the first bishop of the newly established Eparchy Imaculada Conceição in Prudentópolis . The inauguration took place on July 13 of the same year.
