period

Mesori ( Greek Mesore ; Coptic Mesori ; Arabic Mesra ) was in the Egyptian calendar , the ancient Egyptian name of the fourth month of the season Schemu and represented the time of the beginning of June to early July .

background

Old and Middle Kingdom

In the festival calendar of Niuserre , which was part of the decorations in the sun shrine of Niuserre , the birthday of Re or Re-Harachte is connected with the month of Wepet-renpet in the season of Achet . Another synonym is the month of the Re-Feast.

New kingdom

Alan Gardiner as well as Richard Anthony Parker suspect that Mesut-Re changed the year form in the course of the calendar history, which is why Mesut-Re, the former month Wepet-renpet, shifted from the first to the twelfth month from the 19th dynasty in the New Kingdom .
