The Messestadion Dornbirn is a multi-purpose hall in the Austrian municipality of Dornbirn , state of Vorarlberg . It was built in 1999 according to plans by the architect Leopold Kaufmann and is part of the Dornbirn exhibition center . It has space for 4,270 spectators. As an ice rink , the building is the home ground of the Dornbirner EC ice hockey club . The developer and owner of the ice rink is Messe Dornbirn GmbH.

The building can also be used as a multi-purpose hall for other events. The exhibition stadium is used as Hall 6 during major trade fairs. In addition to various concerts and events, the major ZDF entertainment program Wetten, dass ..? has already been broadcast twice from the Dornbirner Messe-Stadion. On April 21 and 22, 2007, the exhibition stadium was the venue for the Fed Cup duel between Austria and Australia. During the World Gymnaestrada 2007 and World Gymnaestrada 2019 , the largest international sporting events in Dornbirn to date, the exhibition stadium was used as the venue for the national evenings and the FIG gala.
