Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a computer game of the Metal Gear Solid series , that of Kojima Productions developed and Konami released was. The Phantom Pain follows on from the narrative of the prologue Ground Zeroes . The player character, who appears to be a big boss and is referred to as “Punished Snake” or “Venom Snake”, wakes up from a coma after nine years in a hospital in Cyprus. He was seriously injured in the attack by the secret organization Cipher on the Mother Base and the subsequent crash of the helicopter (see Ground Zeroes plot ).
