The Metropolitan Tower is a 218 meter high skyscraper in the New York borough of Manhattan .

Construction on the 68-story skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan began in 1984 and lasted until 1987. The building is clad in black glass and has a triangular floor plan . It can therefore be assigned to the style of postmodernism . Offices are located in the lower area of the tower, and higher up there are apartments.

The Carnegie Hall Tower is only a few meters away, separated only by the Russian Tea Room . Located to the south, across the street, is the CitySpire Center . These three skyscrapers were all built in a very confined space in the late 1980s. Not far from this group of towers, One57 was added in 2013 , which at 306 meters is the highest building in the vicinity. The address is 146 West 57th Street, New York City, NY .

You have a good view of the building from the southern tip of Central Park .
