Michał Lorenc
Michał Lorenc (born October 5, 1955 in Warsaw ) is a Polish film composer .
Life
In 1989 Lorenc worked for Maciej Dejczer's film 300 Miles to Heaven , for which he was nominated for the 1989 European Film Prize. From 1992 to 2007 Lorenc won the award for the best film music at the Polish Film Festival five times, including one (1995) together with Jerzy Satanowski after a "tie" . In 1999 he won the International Prize for Film and Media Music at the International Biennale for Film Music with Musik für Nic (1998) . In the same year he won the Bohemian Lion film award with the music for the 1998 film Je třeba zabít Sekala , and in 2002 he was nominated again for the award for the music for spring in autumn (2001).
Reviews
Variety magazine described Lorenc's music for the French-Polish film Four Nights with Anna as “a great help” in “maintaining the momentum or building the atmosphere”.
The film praised the music for the Czech-Polish-Slovak-French joint production Je treba zabit sekala as subtle; they "raise" ( elevates ) the whole movie.
