Michael Braulke

Michael Braulke (born June 22, 1941 in Greifswald / Pomerania ) is a German economist and professor for economics / foreign economic theory at the University of Osnabrück .

Life and professional history

Michael Braulke attended elementary school in Wernigerode , Niedererlenbach and Braunfels , as well as high school in Wetzlar and Salem . In 1969 he passed his Abitur in Salem. He then began an apprenticeship in publishing in Frankfurt am Main , which he completed in 1962 with the assistant examination. From 1962 to 1968 Braulke studied economics at the JW Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. The course was followed by a doctorate at Heinz Sauermann's chair in 1972 .

From 1973 to 1976 he worked as a desk economist in the Asia department of the International Monetary Fund in Washington and from 1975 to 1976 as a consultant for the World Bank in Washington in connection with the financial reform in Burma . From 1976 to 1984 he worked as a research assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Statistics at the University of Konstanz and at the Harald Gerfin chair, and from 1982 to 1984 as a private lecturer at the University of Konstanz. In 1984 Braulke took over a C3 professor for economics with a focus on foreign trade at the University of Osnabrück (on leave from 1992 to 1995).
