Michael Ciccarelli (born September 4, 1996 ) is a Canadian snowboarder . He starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Ciccarelli has been taking part in competitions of the FIS and the TTR World Snowboard Tour since 2009 . He had his first international success at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Kühtai . There he won gold in slopestyle . He drove his first FIS World Cup race in August 2012 in Cardrona , which he finished in 25th place on the halfpipe. At the beginning of the 2014/15 season he finished fourth in slopestyle at the Burton High Fives in Cardrona . At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , he came in sixth place in slopestyle and fifth in big air competition . In February 2015 he won his first World Cup victory in the Slopestyle in Stoneham and thus achieved third place in the FIS Slopestyle World Cup. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season , he finished third in the Slopestyle World Cup in Cardrona . At the Air & Style in Beijing he came in 17th place. In February 2016 he took seventh place at Air & Style in Beijing and 12th place in Los Angeles . At the US Grand Prix and World Cup in Boston he finished second in Big Air. At the 2016 Snowboard World Championships in Yabuli , he came 14th in Slopestyle and 10th in Big Air. He finished the season in tenth place in Freestyle. World Cup and fourth place in the Big Air World Cup. In the 2016/17 season he finished tenth in the Slopestyle at the Winter X Games 2017 in Aspen and 15th in Big Air and 11th in Slopestyle at the X-Games Norway 2017 in Hafjell . In March 2017, he finished second in slopestyle at the Burton US Open in Vail .
