Michael Daub

Michael Daub (born May 7, 1973 in St. Ingbert , Saarland ) is a German journalist, moderator and speaker.

Life

Daub grew up in St. Ingbert in the Saarland . He gained his first radio experience at the Offener Kanal in Saarbrücken , where he moderated regularly from 1990 to 1998. He also worked as a spokesperson for commercials . In 1998 he moved to Bitche , near the border , where he worked for the German-French broadcaster Radio Studio 1 and was discovered by Hermann Stümpert while moderating . In March 2000 Daub moved to RTL Radio in Luxembourg , where he initially worked as a freelancer. There he then completed a classic radio traineeship. After graduation, Daub continued to work for the station in moderation and advertising before he switched to Rockland Radio in Pirmasens in August 2003 . There he first worked as a morning presenter in order to later set up the regional studio of the station in Mainz as head of duty and to head the editorial department. On April 1, 2008 Daub moved to the Radio Group and built up the local radio station Radio Pirmasens. Under his program responsibility, the station was expanded to become the market leader in its local broadcasting area. In addition, he was and is active as a spokesman for commercials , image films, voiceover, dubbing, audio books or DJ and was on stage as a comedian. In addition, he gives seminars for radio makers and interested parties and regularly takes on moderation for various radio stations. He supports the station RPR1 editorially .

After leaving Radio Pirmasens, Daub is self-employed and writes as a freelancer for the Pirmasenser Zeitung and the Palatinate Merkur. Daub was also the editor of a monthly regional magazine called "Schaufenster". He took over the publishing house of the same name from the original publishers in early 2014. The magazine with colorful topics and a circulation of 10,000 monthly copies was published in the district of Südwestpfalz . Other publications such as start-up magazines and non-fiction books appear in the Schaufenster Verlag. In the spring of 2015, Daub stopped production of the magazine due to unprofitability; he continues to own the publisher. He also supports companies in their public relations work and advises them on optimizing their advertising measures; including the retail chain WASGAU AG , Sutters Fleischwaren AG, as well as for Saarmesse GmbH and the international shoe fair in Frankfurt. Since November 2016 Michael Daub has moderated twice a week for the Reutlingen regional broadcaster Neckaralb Live and operates a web radio called Wasgau Radio.

Michael Daub has a daughter from his first marriage and lives in Pirmasens. He has been married to the journalist Tanja Daub since July 2012 . Both have a son.
