Michael Eskesen (born June 5, 1986 in Odense ) is a Danish ice hockey player who has been under contract with SønderjyskE Ishockey in the Metal Ligaen since 2012 .
Career
Michael Eskesen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth division of the Odense Bulldogs , for whose professional team he was active in the AL-Bank Ligaen from 2002 to 2007 . During this period he also won the Danish Cup competition with his team in 2003 and 2006. The 2007/08 season spent the defender at Stjernen Hockey in the Norwegian GET league before he returned to his Danish homeland, where he played for the Rødovre Mighty Bulls in the 2008/09 season. From the 2009/10 season he played again for the Odense Bulldogs. After three years he left the team and joined league rivals SønderjyskE Ishockey in the summer of 2012 .
With his new club he won the Danish championship in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and also won the Danish cup competition in 2013.
International
For Denmark , Eskesen took part in the junior division of the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2002 and 2003 , the U18 Junior A World Championship in 2004 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2003 , 2004 , 2005 and 2006 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad for the first time at the 2011 and 2012 World Championships .
