Michael Field

Michael Feld (born October 2, 1970 in Siegen ) is a German general practitioner , somnologist ( DGSM ), sleep specialist and author.

Career

Michael Feld grew up in Kerpen-Sindorf near Cologne and passed the Abitur examination in 1990 at the Erftgymnasium in Bergheim . From 1990 to 1992 he did community service as a paramedic and first aid trainer at the Malteser Aid Service in Erftstadt. From 1992 to 2000 he studied medicine in Cologne. The doctorate with the subject of the history of nuclear medicine in Europe , rated “summa cum laude”, was published as a book in March 2000: History of Nuclear Medicine in Europe including the English edition History of Nucelar Medicin in Europe . From 2000 to 2004 Feld completed training in internal medicine, pulmonology , surgery , emergency medicine and sleep medicine at the North Sea Clinic in Westerland / Sylt.

From 2004 to 2009 he worked in various practices and clinics in the Cologne area. Since 2009 he has had an independent practice in Cologne. Feld has been editor of the medical training magazine Schlaf , formerly Schattauer Verlag , now Thieme in Stuttgart , since 2012 .
